Roll-a-thon to donate funds to the Morton County Library…

Parker Perry is a 6th grader at Elkhart Middle School, and also a member of Girl Scout Troop #5402 of Boise City, OK. She is working on her Silver Award, and she is required to find an issue within her community that concerns her and plan and complete a project that addresses the issue. She has chosen the Morton County Library and their children’s department. She is sponsoring a bike-a-thon to raise funds for children’s books for the library. She already has a matching grant from Mr. Roger Smith of Palo Alto , California, a former resident of Elkhart and graduate of EHS class of 1959 who read about it in the Tri-State News. Students Pre-K through 6th grade will collect donations for their participation. Prizes will also be given to 2 students that collect the most pledges and those who complete the most laps. April 15th is the deadline. You may contact Parker at 405-714-5284 to donate or sponsor her project.
